Return Policy

Returns or claims will not be accepted:

  • Color Saturation: We currently work with over 1400 artisans who purchase and prepare their dyes according to internal processes. Therefore, it is impossible to guarantee completely identical shades. Additionally, straw, being a natural fiber, does not dye uniformly.
  • Same Size Brim: The approximate brim size of all our hats is 6 to 7 cm. This size can vary as it is not a machine-manufactured product, so it cannot be expected that all hats will have the same measurement. We always allow an approximate margin of 1 cm more or less. Furthermore, our brims are not sewn; hence the difficulty in ensuring they are exactly identical, unlike the other finish that can be “graded” with a machine at the time of cutting and folding the brims.
  • Different Weaving: The hat is a living handmade product, and its manufacturing process involves not only a weaver but also some family members. Thus, each weave is a kind of language that tells the experience of generations, which means that not all weaving patterns look alike, and therefore, it cannot be expected that the weaving will be uniform. The fine quality of the weaving is related to another aspect, so it cannot be expected that the closed knots and woven straw will look exactly the same throughout.
  • Customs Intervention: Each country is governed by its internal regulations, so if the hat boxes are handled by customs agents and the hats are not properly repacked, Ecua-Andino will not be held responsible.
  • Cuts to the Internal and External Bands by Anti-Narcotics Agents
  • Leather Band Color: Not all bands will have the same shade, as it depends on various factors. We depend on the availability of the artisan, available materials, and production capacity.
  • Floppy Brim on Crochet Hats: This is part of the model and never a defect. Moreover, no extra product is added to keep the brim rigid, as with other models like the X fresh.
  • The hat gets wet and loses its shape, or the band comes off due to that situation.

Cases in which exchanges will be accepted:

  • All claims must be made within the first two weeks from the arrival of the shipment.
  • Broken crown.
  • The silicone on the band is detached or not properly glued.
  • Hat stained with red or any other color from feathers.
  • Badly placed or poorly sewn sweatband.
  • Rusty pin.
  • Hat color different from the one ordered, considering the color clause.
  • If the customer provides instructions on the placement of labels and these are not followed.
